ONLY, TN (WSMV) - Three corrections officers were injured when 16 inmates started a riot at the Turney Center Industrial Complex in Hickman County on Sunday afternoon. Neysa Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Correction, said the inmates held one of the officers hostage for several hours. The other two officers were removed from the unit immediately, according to Taylor. TDOC's Special Operations Unit responded and gained control after about three hours. Read More. |
