| Seven Convicts Charged in Fatal Cushing Prison Riot |

(Stillwater, Okla.) – Payne County District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas filed charges on Monday against seven convicts accused of participating in a riot at the Cimarron Correctional Facility in Cushing on Sept. 12, 2015, in which four inmates died from stab wounds. Participating in a fatal riot is punishable as second-degree murder by 10 years to life in prison, according to court documents filed Monday. The four inmates who died were identified on the charges as Anthony Fulwider, 31; Kyle Tiffee, 23; Christopher Tignor, 29; and Michael Edwin Mayden Jr. 26. Read More. |
