| Inmate charged in Boone County Jail fight |

COLUMBIA, Mo. - An inmate accused of attacking another inmate inside the Boone County Jail is now charged. Darian M. Carter, 24, of Columbia, was charged in Boone County on Tuesday with a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault. According to a probable cause statement obtained by ABC 17 News, the Boone County Sheriff's Office responded to the jail around 2:10 p.m. on Monday for a disturbance between three inmates. Corrections officers at the jail said the victim reported that Carter came at him and that he stood up in self-defense. Read More. |
