| Sallisaw searches for escaped inmate |

The Sallisaw Police Department is asking for help finding an escaped inmate. Austin McCallie jumped out of a work crew vehicle in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday, according to a release sent by Capt. Jeff Murray. McCallie ran across the street and into the Walmart parking lot. A witness called 911 and said that a man wearing jail clothing ran to a parked truck near the Walmart's Tire Lube Express, got in, and drove the truck south on Highway 59. Read More. |
