VALHALLA - Two Westchester County correction officers are recovering from injuries after allegedly being attacked by an inmate. The correction officers were allegedly attacked at the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla Tuesday evening by an aggressive inmate with mental health issues. Alonzo West, of the Westchester County Correction Officer Benevolent Association, says one officer sustained breaks to his legs, wrist and hand. That officer will require surgery.
