| SBI called in to investigate beating that left teen in coma |

The North Carolina Department of Corrections has called in the SBI to investigate a beating that has left a prison inmate in a coma. A spokesman for the Department of Corrections said 19-year-old Justin Clark was attacked by a group of fellow inmates on March 31st at the Polk Youth Institution in Butner. Clark is now undergoing treatment for severe head injuries at a local hospital. He was serving time for breaking and entering. Prison officials are working to figure out what prompted the attack. |
