MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI - A prison inmate has been charged with a felony for alleged falsely reporting he was sexually assaulted. Earl Gene Upchurch, 52, has been charged with filing a false report of a felony, which carries a potential sentence of four years in prison. It's alleged that while Upchurch was incarcerated at Brooks Correctional Facility in Muskegon, he filed a false report that his cell mate had sexually assaulted him, said Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Timothy Maat.
