| Constable accused of providing drugs to inmates |

State police reported the arrest last week of Adair County (Ky.) Constable Kenneth Downey for allegedly providing illegal drugs to state inmates on a work detail in the county road garage. The 45-year-old Downey also works for the Adair County Road Department. He's charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, promoting contraband and official misconduct. Downey is lodged in the Adair Regional Jail. |
