| Police searching for escaped prisoner near Tallapoosa County |

The Alabama Department of Corrections is seeking the public’s help in locating an escaped inmate. Terry Lee Stokes, 43, was at his work site in Dadeville when he went missing, police say. Stokes is serving a 20-year sentence at the Alex City Work Release Center for second degree burglary. Police described him as 6-feet tall and weighing 160 pounds, with strawberry-blond hair and hazel eyes.
