| Sex offender sought after walking away from minimum security Calumet House in Manchester |

MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that an inmate walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester on Friday, July 7, 2017. Michael Maurice Chaisson Jr., 41, formerly of Concord, ran away from the facility after a Corrections Officer confiscated unauthorized property he had in his possession. Chaisson is described as a white male, 5-feet-9 inches tall, 172 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was sentenced in Merrimack County Superior Court to serve 4 to 20 years for felonious sexual assault, with 136 days of time served credited to his sentence. He had previously served two 3-6 year sentences for theft in Cheshire County Superior Court. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison June 18, 2013 and was eligible for parole February 21, 2016. His maximum release date is August 22, 2027. Read More. |
