HINTON, OK (KSWO) - Multiple media outlets are reporting that a riot at an Oklahoma prison is now over and inmates are back in their cells. State corrections officers, including some from Lawton, had been working early Monday to stop it. We sent you the alert Sunday night on your 7News App about what Town of Hinton officials were calling a "situation" at the Great Plains Correctional Facility. It's run by GEO. Still no official word from the Department of Corrections Monday morning, but the Caddo County Sheriff's Office says about 250 to 300 inmates took to the yard and refused to go back inside the prison Sunday night.
