| Inmate takes plea deal in Niagara Falls shooting |

Matthew M. Humphrey of Niagara Falls, who is in state prison for a convenience store robbery, pleaded guilty Monday to another felony in connection with a shooting in his home. Humphrey, 27, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. A man who visited Humphrey's 22nd Street residence on June 8, 2016, told police that Humphrey tried to rob him at gunpoint. The victim tried to wrestle the gun away from Humphrey, and it discharged, wounding the visitor in the foot. Read More. |
