A man being held in the slaying of a Moriarty teenager has been accused of beating an officer at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque, N.M.
Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court records show 20 year-old Jeffery Galindo has been charged with battery on a peace officer.
The records say Galindo punched officer Wilfred Esquibel in the face and continued to fight as Esquibel tried to restrain him.
Esquibel suffered a black eye and injuries to both arms.
A Bernalillo County grand jury has indicted Galindo and two other people on charges including murder.
The charges stem from the August Ninth shooting death of 16-year-old Chris Hanson at an Albuquerque park.
