| Work release resident from Rochester is missing |

MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announced that a work release resident walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit. Stephen Paul Edgerly Sr., 44, formerly of Rochester, left the facility at 5 a.m. on July 24, to report to work. His employer sent him home at noon but he never returned to the facility. He was placed on escape status at approximately 2 p.m. Edgerly is described as a white male, 5-feet 8-inches tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his back, shoulders, right forearm, upper left arm, and head. Edgerly was sentenced in Strafford County Superior Court to 2 ½ - 5 years for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on May 15, 2015 and was eligible for parole on June 12, 2017 with a maximum release date of December 14, 2019.
