| Alternative Custody Program Walkaway Apprehended in Stockton |

STOCKTON – A man who walked away from a Stockton residential home in the Alternative Custody Program on Thursday, July 27, was apprehended this past Saturday. Patrick Flynn, 55, was taken into custody at 8 p.m. on July 29 in Stockton by CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety with assistance by the Stockton Police Department. He was apprehended without incident and was transported to Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy. Flynn was received by CDCR from San Joaquin County on November 23, 2016 with a three-year sentence for grand theft of more than $950. Flynn had been accepted into CDCR’s Alternative Custody Program on July 3. ACP is a voluntary program developed for eligible offenders that allows them to serve up to the last 12 months of their sentence in the community in lieu of confinement in state prison. Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who have left an adult institution, camp, or community-based program without permission have been apprehended. |
