| Staffing emergency declared at El Dorado prison |

An official staffing emergency has been declared at El Dorado Correctional Facility, due to an ongoing staffing shortage. The emergency declaration gives the Department of Corrections the right to require prison guards to start working up to a 64 hour work schedule. The temporary emergency status has some guards working 12 hours a day, including a 16 hour shift on the last day of their work week. Read More. |
