| Phone, alleged drugs seized from Cebu City jail inmate |

CEBU CITY — A cellphone and suspected illegal drugs were seized from the person at the center of a greyhound operation inside the city jail here on Thursday. Officers from the Cebu City Police conducted the operation at Conjugal Room Number 40, where inmate Archie Abellana was located. The police will turn over the phone and drug paraphernalia they recovered from Abellana's room to the crime laboratory to determine the make-up of the narcotics. According to Senior Superintendent Joel Doria, chief of Cebu City Police Office, his group has been monitoring the name "Archie Abellana," because he has been allegedly linked to illegal-drugs transactions.
