| Inmate found dead inside cell at Sarasota County jail |

An inmate at the Sarasota County jail was found dead in his cell on Thursday night, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. Just before midnight, 33-year-old Brandon Huskey was discovered unresponsive in his cell. Deputies contacted emergency services and CPR was performed, according to the sheriff’s office, but Huskey was pronounced dead. A sheriff’s office release said the cause of death might have been “medical in nature,” though an official cause will be determined and released by the medical examiner’s office. Read More. |
