TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Leon County Jail correctional officer is recovering from facial fractures after he was attacked by an inmate. The sheriff’s department says officer Kenneth Meade was injured around 10 a.m. Saturday. According to the sheriff’s office, inmate David Vickers was upset with his lunch options when he attacked Meade. The officer suffered four facial fractures. Another inmate helped to stop the attack by Vickers, who the sheriff’s office describes as a mentally ill inmate. Read More. |
