| Coroner: inmate who died at Lee Correctional Institution was stabbed |

LEE COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Lee County Coroner says an inmate who died at Lee Correctional Institution this weekend bled to death from a stab wound. An autopsy was done Tuesday on Herbert Causey, who was found unresponsive Sunday at Lee Correctional Institution. Coroner Larry Logan released Causey's identity and cause of death Tuesday. Logan said Causey had been stabbed in the arm. Causey, according to South Carolina Department of Corrections spokesperson Sommer Sharpe, was found dead in a single cell. Read More. |
