| Ottawa County officer named to statewide council |

Ottawa County Corrections Officer Joe Walker has been named to the first-ever Police Officers Association of Michigan statewide leadership council program. Walker, along with five other active law-enforcement officers, will serve on the council under POAM President Jim Tignanelli. “This is something we’ve been wanting to do for a while and it’s getting a lot of support from the guys around the office,” Tignanelli said. The council meets for the first time on Thursday, Aug. 24, and will discuss its goals for the future. Tignanelli and the POAM often advise congressional representatives in Lansing on bills that will affect law-enforcement officers. Read More. |
