Six Nevada state prison inmates were treated at a hospital, including one who had part of his ear bitten off, after a melee April 17 at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs.
Authorities say officers fired bird shot pellets into the crowd to break up the fighting and several inmates were wounded.
None of the injuries is described as serious.
