| Inmates moved to gym after smoke fills jail |

Hundreds of inmates were moved into a gymnasium after smoke of undetermined origin filled the Weber Correctional Facility in Utah. Ogden fire Battalion Chief Dave Owens said firefighters responded last week and searched for the cause of the smoke for two hours but could not find it. Owens said his crews searched everywhere were still stumped. Owens theorized the smoke may have been from a forbidden cigarette being pushed into a vent, falling to the basement and catching some lint on fire. |
