| Corrections officers charged with assault |

Adrian Garner has a long criminal record. He's spent much time behind bars. The inmate claims three corrections officers used excessive force during a January 16 incident. Now those three corrections officers are on the other side of the law Joshua Spenton, Robert Arnold and Scott DeJarnette were all charged and booked at Metro Corrections. All three officers are charged with assault in the 4th degree, official misconduct and complicity. As soon as Garner reported the incident, the three corrections officers were immediately removed from the Special Operations Response Team, which deals directly with inmates. Now they face criminal misdemeanor charges. |
