| Inmate slips into wrong line, walks out of Collin Co. jail unnoticed |

McKINNEY, Texas - A prisoner casually walked away from the Collin County jail in McKinney on Wednesday. Jason Earl Davis was listed as a non-violent prisoner who was arrested on drug charges and outstanding warrants. He was being booked into the jail after transferring from the Grayson County jail. He reportedly walked in front of a detention officer, got in line with people who were being released on bond and then walked out. “"We're in the business where there is little to no room for error, but the plain fact is we made a mistake policing that exit door. Human error is an element that we strive daily to overcome but here we failed. I want to assure our citizens that the detention facility is secure and that I have immediately addressed the problem that allowed this escape to occur,” Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner said.
