3 inmates escape Marshall County Jail; 2 suspects accused of harboring a fugitive

Three escaped inmates are being sought and two suspects are jailed on charges of aiding an escape in Marshall County.

Jose Gilberton Rodiguez, Abraham Lopez and Jose G. Martinez were reported as missing from the county jail late Sunday, according to the sheriff's office. Jail staff discovered the three inmate were missing during roll call checks, Sheriff Scott Walls said in a news release.

Two additional suspects, 36-year-old Belinda May Houk and 50-year-old Hilario Camona were arrested on charges of first-degree facilitating an escape/harboring a fugitive. The sheriff said Houk and Camona picked up Martinez on Ringold Street in Guntersville and drove the escapee to their home in the Swearengin area. Martinez allegedly left Maple Road on foot.
