| Inmate 'seriously injured' in Anamosa prison assault |

ANAMOSA, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Mason City man serving a sentence at Anamosa State Penitentiary was seriously injured in an assault Monday. Workers found 31-year-old Michael Waddington unresponsive in the kitchen area about 5:45 p.m., according to an Iowa Department of Corrections news release. Waddington is being treated at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for "serious injuries from an altercation." Read More. |
