RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) - A corrections officer is recovering from her injuries after she was attacked by an inmate at a state prison Thursday. The attack happened at the Women's Correctional Facility in Raleigh shortly after 8 a.m. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries and has since been released from a local hospital.
