| Women’s Prison inmate pleads not guilty to summer escape charge |

Wearing prison orange, Stacie Cottier pleaded not guilty Tuesday in state court in Pierre to a charge she escaped from the the state women’s prison in Pierre this summer. A sheriff’s deputy picked her up on U.S. Highway 83 south of Fort Pierre just before midnight on July 12, according to court documents. According to a deputy who ticketed her, a notice went out about 9 p.m. on July 12 that Cottier was considered a prison escapee. Read More. |
