PARIS, KY (Lex 18) - A registered sex offender in Bourbon County already facing charges of rape and sodomy could now face a conspiracy to murder charge after an undercover investigation by Kentucky State Police's Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Unit. Already in the Bourbon County Detention Center, State Police said Jonathan Richards caught their eyes again in August. This time, detectives said the inmate was targeting someone involved in his case. "Through their investigation they did receive a contract, or were hired by Mr. Richards to ultimately kill that person participating in the legal process," said Trooper Charles Loudermilk.
