MOUNT PLEASANT — Le’Prese Williams dropped out of high school when he was a senior. He said he wasn’t sure why. About seven years later, Williams, 25, received his HiSET Program diploma Wednesday at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility graduation. About 20 incarcerated men from the correctional facility walked across the room in caps and gowns after earning diplomas for the HiSET program, a high-school equivalency program like the GED, apprenticeship programs and Microsoft Office Specialist Certificates. Williams, along with two other students, was inducted into the National Adult Education Honor Society for having a positive attitude and good work ethic.
