SD Women’s prison inmate placed on escape status |

Officials with the South Dakota Department of Corrections say an inmate from the state women’s prison in Pierre has escaped. In a news release sent Sunday, Dec. 3, the DOC says Destiny Wilson, 28, went to her work release job site on Dec. 2 but never returned to the Pierre Community Work Center. The DOC release said Wilson is a white female who is about 5’5” tall, weighs around 140 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes. Wilson is serving three concurrent four-year, 8 month sentences for possession of a controlled substance from Lawrence, Meade and Pennington Counties and a 1 year, 8 month sentence for grand theft out of Pennington County, the DOC release said.
