Charlotte County jail introduces tablets to inmates |

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL (WWSB) - The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office has introduced inmate communication devices in the county jail. The tablet devices will provide services to those incarcerated at no cost to the facility. The tablet device has a messaging app that allows inmates to have contact with friends and family outside normal visitation procedure. It will also allow them to educate themselves on laws pertaining to their case and gives them an option to take educational classes. Inmates can earn a certification of completion once finished.
