Missing Coffee County inmate caught in North Carolina

An inmate that worked off of work duty in Coffee County has been captured in North Carolina.

According to officials with the Sheriff's Office, 50-year-old Donald Dewayne Davis along with the person that helped him escape, 23-year-old Megan Plymel, were found Saturday in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Davis was painting at the county courthouse when he left with help from Plymel according to officials.
