| Man charged in attack at Perry County Prison |

A Newport man faces assault charges after the state Department of Corrections said he attacked two corrections officers in late November. According to docket information for John Zook Esh, 25, of Newport, the incident happened on Nov. 29 at Perry County Prison. The department said Esh punched two officers and also kicked one of them, though neither officer was seriously injured. Read More. |
