| Inmates escape from Boyd County jail |

CATLETTSBURG, Ky. — Three of four men were still at large Thursday afternoon after they escaped early in the morning from the Boyd County Detention Center, according to Sheriff Bobby Jack Woods. Isiah D. Bare, Austin A. Childers, Thomas J. Bentley and Joseph Tyler Salyers allegedly broke out of jail between 12:30 and 9 a.m. Thursday through the roof from a shaft under an HVAC unit. Boyd County 911 dispatchers said the inmates might have fled in a Ford 5500 work truck. Based on information from police in nearby Ashland, Boyd County deputies found Bare with his girlfriend about eight miles away around 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Westwood, Kentucky.
