| Corrections officer injured at Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility |

HUNTERDON COUNTY – An investigation is underway involving what appears to be an accidental discharge of a firearm at the Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility in Annandale, said Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III. "On Dec. 31 at approximately 10 p.m., a member of the New Jersey Department of Corrections sustained a non-life threatening injury after his off-duty weapon discharged accidentally," Kearns said. "The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.” Members of the Clinton Rescue Squad and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center responded to the scene to treat the officer, who was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
