| Inmate found dead at state prison in Marlboro County |

Inmate Randall Dustin Simmons, 34, was found dead Sunday night at Evans Correctional Institution in Bennettsville, S.C., according to Jeffrey M. Taillon Comunications Director South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC). Taillon said the Marlboro County Coroner will confirm Simmons' cause of death, but it is believed to be a suicide. SCDC online records show Simmons was serving time out of Greenville for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of meth, discharging a firearm in dwelling, grand larceny and financial transaction card fraud.
