| Houston County Jail Inmate assaults Correctional Officer |

A Houston County corrections officer was assaulted by an inmate Sunday night in the county's jail. Aqueelah Borders hit the officer across the head with what is said to be a lunch tray according to Houston County Sheriff Department. The officer was taken to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for treatment for the laceration across her head. Borders is expected to face assault to the second degree charges and a bond of 15,000 dollars. Read More. |
