| Sheriff's Office: Female inmate died at hospital |

A 35-year-old woman being held at the Glynn County Detention Center died Saturday night after being transported by a county EMS squad to Southeast Georgia Health System's Brunswick hospital, Glynn County Undersheriff Ron Corbett said Wednesday morning. Jessica D. Owens was pronounced dead at 7:52 p.m. Saturday at the hospital's emergency room. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death, as is standard procedure in such an incident, Corbett said. A cause of death has not been released. Read More. |
