The U.S. Marshals are searching for an escaped federal inmate. Authorities said Larence Garth, who is in his 30s, escaped from Truman Medical Center Tuesday night, where he was receiving treatment. Investigators said he ran east on 24th Street and made it to U.S. 71, where he tried to get a ride with at least one passerby who refused. U.S. Marshals said Garth was being held on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Read More. |
