The flu epidemic’s latest Iowa victim was a prison inmate, officials said Thursday. Rashod Develt Aldridge, 29, died Thursday morning at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, where he’d been taken because he was ill, the Iowa Department of Corrections said in a press release. Aldridge, who was from Waterloo, was convicted last year of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of his father, Roosevelt Aldridge, according to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.
