| Inmates, officers injured in Bordelais standoff |

Operations are back to normal at the Bordelais Correctional Facility following a violent disturbance earlier this week that resulted in several officers and a number of inmates sustaining non-lifethreatening injuries, according to sources. The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 31, 2018) when a number of inmates refused to enter their cells after recreation. According to sources, the inmates were protesting poor conditions at the facility and delays with their court cases, among other issues. Read More. |
