The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office is seeking charges stemming from a disturbance at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center Monday. Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman said deputies received two reports that an inmate, Julio Bernal, 30, allegedly spit in the face of corrections officers. Overman said one incident took place on Monday as officers moved Bernal following the disturbance involving three inmates who allegedly refused to leave a cell. Bernal is accused of spitting in the face of an officer at that time and making threats to harm another officer. Read More. |
