BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) Vermont Department of Corrections officials are considering different ways to help those with alcohol abuse disorders, including prescribing Naltrexone. Naltrexone is also used to treat opioid abuse disorder, but when it comes to drinking it can be used to reduce a patient's urge or desire to use.
