Baton Rouge woman arrested for allegedly helping work-release inmate escape Sunday

A woman was arrested after allegedly helping a work-release inmate escape in Baton Rouge on Sunday night, according to an arrest report.

Erica Williams, 23, allegedly transported inmate Lynndrick Huey, 24, from his designated work-release assignment at a fast-food restaurant on Perkins Road to a family gathering in Baton Rouge, according to an arrest report for Williams.

Williams told deputies that she tried to return Huey to the work site before the van arrived, but the van left before they returned.
