| Inmate on the run, after escaping police |

An inmate who was being transported from Danville to the Pittsylvania County (Va.) jail remains on the loose. Robert Wayne Grasty Jr. of Holbrook St. is described as a black male, 32 year old, 5' 8'' and weighs about 160 pounds. He has a tattoo with the letters JKC on his right shoulder and a scar on his face. He was also wearing handcuffs and body chain. Grasty was in custody after failing to appear in court because of a failure to pay child support, as well as brandishing a firearm. He was last seen near Chatham Animal Clinic. Investigators are using K-9 teams in addition to extra deputies in the search. |
