The 7 inmates killed in SC prison fight have been identified

The seven inmates killed in the fighting Sunday night and Monday morning at Lee Correctional Institution have been identified as:

Eddie Casey Jay Gaskins
Joshua Svwin Jenkins
Michael Milledge
Cornelius Quantral McClary
Damonte Marquez Rivera
Raymond Angelo Scott
Corey Scott

They were killed — and 17 others were injured — during fights that lasted more than seven hours at the Lee County prison near Bishopville, the S.C. Department of Corrections said.

Many of the prisoners apparently died from stabbing or slashing wounds from "shanks," although autopsies had not been completed Monday, Lee County Coroner Larry Logan said. The official cause of death will not be determined until after the autopsies.
