Inmate attempts suicide at Cumberland County Jail |

An inmate at the Cumberland County Jail unsuccessfully tried to hang himself in his cell Wednesday, jail officials said. Captain Steve Butts Jr. said in a release that the inmate has since been placed on suicide watch.
