Parolee who escaped custody on South Side arrested in Glenview |

A man on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections for armed robbery escaped custody Tuesday morning during a parole check in the South Chicago neighborhood but was arrested again Tuesday night in Glenview, officials said. A corrections officer was checking in on Kir Moorman, 29, and he escaped after one hand had been cuffed, according to a corrections department spokeswoman. Moorman was located and arrested Tuesday night in Glenview, according to an IDOC spokeswoman. Chicago police got a call just before 10:40 a.m. to assist the Department of Corrections in looking for a 29-year-old man near the 2700 block of East 81st Street, said Officer Jennifer Bryk, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
